An Ebonyi-born Journalist, Miss Nnenna Oshibe, has emerged as the only Nigerian journalist to represent Nigeria in the 55th training course for young African journalists in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
She would be representing Nigeria in the training course organized by the Young African Journalist Initiative, YAJI for the year 2022.
The Chairman of the NUJ, Ebonyi State Council, Comrade Tony Nwizi disclosed this to newsmen in Abakaliki on behalf of the National President, Chief Chris Isiguzo.
The NUJ Boss charged Miss Oshibe to be a good ambassador of the Union and Ebonyi State throughout the Young African in Egypt.
He urged her to endeavour to make the best use of the resource materials and knowledge derivable from the nineteen days course to upgrade her professional standard.
“On behalf of the National President of our great Union, Chief Chris Isiguzo, I am glad to inform you that the Ebonyi State Council will be representing Nigeria in the 55th African training course for Young Journalists in Cairo, Egypt and our dear Miss Nnenna Ifeoma Oshibe will be representing us in that important event.”
“I want to thank our dear President for allowing us to represent our Nation in this training course.”
“That participation you will agree with me will bring Ebonyi State Council and the Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation to the National and Continental limelight.”
“My advice to our representative, Miss Nnenna Ifeoma Oshibe is to attach undiluted importance to the course, give it her rapt attention and ensure she represents us well over there,” he said.
The training course which is slated to hold from September 10th to 29th, 2022 is hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Information.
