Recall that the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria has warned all Medical Professionals to be disciplined while discharging their duties
The Registrar of the Council, Dr Tajudeen Sanusi gave this warning during the 2022 Physicians oath-taking ceremony of the 20th batch of Medical Doctors which took place at Ebonyi University in Abakaliki.
Dr Sanusi said being disciplined in discharging their duties would help them a lot in saving lives and also make the Doctors law-abiding citizens.
He encouraged the Medical Doctors who just took their oath in the Profession to abide by the oath they have taken.
The Vice Chancellor of Ebonyi State University, Professor Chigozie Ogbu, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Professor Eugene Nweke reminded the young Doctor that oath-taking is a very important thing that would guide them to be responsible in caring for people's lives.
Professor Ogbu encouraged the newly inducted Medical Doctors to allow the ethics of the Medical Profession to be their guiding compass.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Daniel Umezurike, who represented the State Governor, Engr David Umahi, also charged the new Medical Doctors never to go against the ethics of the profession.
