The supporters of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi have disclosed their plan to take their Obedient solidarity movement for their principal nationwide on October 1st, 2022.
The proponents of the Obedient movement said they have concluded the take-off of the event, a 100 million nationwide march to Aso-Rock, Abuja, for their Principal and his running mate Yusu Datti Baba-Ahmed, come 2023.
The text by the Coalition for Peter Obi, CPO, read: "Obedient Movement prepares for a 100 million nationwide march for Peter Obi and Labour Party into Aso Rock in 2023.
"We the members of Lagos State Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO), being made up of the forty support groups under the Collative Leadership of Dr Adeyinka Azubuike as the South West CPO Zonal Director and Chief Olukayode Salako as the Lagos State Chairman of CPO/Labour Party do affirm that our 100 Millon Nationwide March in support and solidarity for Peter Obi Presidential Candidacy which comes up on the 1st of October 2022, will commence by 9:00 am."
The coalition group while announcing the details for the event said its gathering point shall be at the National Stadium Surulere, "where we will commence with booting to kickstart the journey; get the musical concerts and single artists ready."
The Obi supporters said they would use the opportunity to give directives on the orderliness of the procession, check the logistics and readiness of the media; the medical doctors and nurses at alert; including the security agencies after their "opening prayer for God’s protection and guidance, is offered by one Pastor and Muslim Comrades."
Commencement of the peaceful assembly, they said, would take off "after checking the sections to ascertain the state of readiness, three or four members are allowed to speak on the topic of our mission and to raise the morals of the Obidients before we embark on a test walk with the blaring of the music for the one-one minute interval- music/single one minute and His Excellency Peter Obi’s speech or Labour Manifesto - one minute in that Order as many as is the line up for the journey.
"The Processional frenzy and impactful carnival show will be the bases of OBI-DATTI Political Movement to enter into the Guinness Book of Records as the most vibrant political movement in the world."
In their take-off point, they said, "upon getting to under bridge at Ojuelegba, 7 of our Lead Co-Ordinators are arraigned Heptagonally to hoist our Labour Party flag/banner and a prepared speech which was made by one of us, then followed by the Labour song of SOLIDARITY FOREVER….."
"We will then move from Ojuelegba through Empire Street/Road; through JIBOWU; Through FADEYI; Through Onipanu; Through PALMGROOVE; Through Obanikoro; Through Anthony; Through Idiroko; Through Maryland; THEN LEFT TURN Through Onigbongbo; On getting to Sheraton Hotel Just Turn right by the side of Sharatan Hotel passing through the Trunk of Opebi Link and on top of the Opebi Canal Bridge; Then landing on Opebi Street, turn left through the long stretch of Opebi Street and come to land at number 2 Allen Avenue just opposite the roundabout where Our Lagos State Chairman for Labour Party/CPO Chief Olukayode Salako will be waiting with his LLieutenantsto welcome us," they added.
The coalition groups continued: "It will then be the turn of the Chairman’s speech and remarks followed by our Labour Party song: SOLIDARITY FOREVER…….. Everybody has gotten a full-filled day."
