An Industrialist, Dr Edward Nkwegu has received a certificate of return as the Ebonyi gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 governorship election in the state.
Briefing newsmen shortly after receiving the certificate at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, Dr Nkwegu thanked the National Working Committee of the Labour Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission for the justice and transparency exhibited throughout the primaries of the party.
Dr Nkwegu pledged to make Ebonyi state the economic hub of the country through his economic revolution plan and industrialization if elected as Governor of the state next year.
He enjoined the people of Ebonyi State and Labour Party supporters to see his Governorship ticket as a divine project.
Nkwegu also called for tolerance among stakeholders irrespective of their political affiliations for peaceful co-existence in the state.
