The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said Nollywood entertainers and filmmakers have highly productive talents, urging them to redouble their efforts to shore up the Nigerian economy.
He said the array of talents in the industry must be better positioned to yield bountiful benefits to them and the country.
Asiwaju Tinubu advised the filmmakers to redouble their efforts to contribute their quota not only to entertain the world but also to shore up the Nigerian economy.
The Apresidentialial standard bearer spoke on Wednesday night when he hosted members of the Ambassadors for Change Initiative (ACI), a brainchild of the Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr Ramatu Tijjani.
The group comprises Nollywood actors, film producers and other groups of entertainers.
“As entertainers and filmmakers, you represent a key channel of reaching the people and disseminating important messages. You are the ones to help sell our country at home and abroad so that people change their mindset about Nigeria.
“The entertainment industry is at the heart and soul of our country. You are the creative people, the thinkers and doers,” he said.
