In continuation of the upsurge of the followership of the candidature of. the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Governorship position in Ebonyi State, the entire members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria( PASAN) have thrown their weight behind Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON) as the anointed one to succeed Governor Umahi come 2023.
In a keynote address presented to the APC Gubernatorial candidate and the incumbent Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru the President of the Association Comrade Regina Oshibe said the support came out of the fatherly disposition of the speaker to workers in the office and that his unprecedented milestone achievement recorded during his term has positively affected the House and the entire state through quality Legislation
She revealed how the Staff of the House of Assembly have benefitted immensely from the ingenuity of the Speaker as they enjoyed superior welfare packages without discrimination.
Comrade Oshibe, therefore, assured the APC Gubernatorial candidate of their support and then called n the entire state to rally around Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the extension of greater service to humanity.
Responding, the speaker of the State House of Assembly and the APC Gubernatorial flagbearer in Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru appreciated the leadership of PASAN, House of Assembly Service Commission and indeed all Staff of the House of Assembly for working tirelessly to make the Assembly the most peaceful and result_oriented in the country adding that their commitment to duty went a long way in stabilizing the House.
Rt Hon Nwifuru then used the occasion of the courtesy call to remind the staff that there is a great challenge ahead before the actualization of his becoming the next State Governor, which must be tackled headlong by sensitizing the general public about his real self and not the frivolous propaganda by some distractors.
The APC flagbearer maintained that his administration if voted into power, will focus on human capital development which will take the state to the next stage of success as the present administration under Governor Umahi and other previous administrations have done a lot in Infrastructural development sector and the educational sector.
Rt Hon Nwifuru then assured the people that he will always pursue what is collectively beneficial to the people as an entity called Ebonyi State to move the state forward.
Earlier, the Clerk of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Mrs Patricia Anasi expressed optimism about the speaker becoming the 4th Executive Governor of the State as he has demonstrated his leadership ability as the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly which provided the enabling Legislation for the rapid development of the state under the administration of Governor Umahi.
