The Rivers State House of Assembly has ordered Celestine Omehia to refund 600 million Naira benefits as an ex-governor of the state.
The House also mandated Omehia to return about N97m he had so far received as a pension, making the total money to refund to the state treasury as a sum of 697 million Naira.
This was part of the resolution taken by the House members, following their votes to the delist Omehia as the former governor of Rivers State.
NATIONAL PANEL learnt that all 21 members of the House who voted for the derecognition of Omehia as a former governor, also ordered him to return about N97m he had so far received as pension.
The House asked Omehia to return both the money for benefits and pension to the treasury of Rivers State.
