An Ebonyi-born Journalist and the State Correspondent of the New Telegraph Newspapers, Comrade Uchenna Inya has won an outstanding award as the Most Innovative Reporter of the Year.

The award which was named the Nigerian Media Merit Award, NMMA, took place in Lagos State.
NATIONAL PANEL learnt that Comrade Inya emerged as the second runner-up for the Print Journalist of the 2022 Award of the NMMA.
He shared the testimony on his confirmed social media wall.
His post read: "To the glory of God, I have won the award - Most Innovative Reporter of the year award of the Nigerian Media Merit Award (NMMA) held in Lagos. It was televised live on NTA.
"I was also the second runner-up for the Print Journalist of the year award."
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ebonyi State Council under the Chairmanship of Comrade Tony Nwizi has congratulated Comrade Uchenna for his award.
The State NUJ leadership in a congratulatory issue made available to journalists by the Secretary General of the council, Comrade Nnamdi Akpa described Inya's award as a meritorious one.
"On behalf of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Ebonyi state Council, we send a warm congratulations to you on your meritorious award of best Innovative Reporter of the year by Nigeria Media Merit Award
"The Award did not come to us as a surprise because it is cristal that since your assumption as a Journalist, you have shown commitment, dedication and overzealousness in the discharge of your journalistic duties.
"We also thanked Nigeria Media Merit Award for choosing you as one of the recipients which have added another feather to the numerous awards you have received over the years. We are grateful to them for their wisdom and we pray for more wisdom for them to select more Journalists from the state because most Journalists in this state have paid their dues to this noble profession both in Print and in Broadcast even in Photo Journalism.
"Mr Uchenna Inya as you have received the Award, it is our prayer that God in his infinite Mercy protects and strengthens you with more wisdom to continue doing good works."
