The Executive Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Barr Chinedu Uburu has started a rural electrification project in his council districts.
NATIONAL PANEL learnt that the newly inaugurated LG Chairman had begun the electrification project worth over fifty million Naira (N50, 000,000) in the rehabilitation of the YAHE 33kv feeder from Pa Ngele Oruta township stadium, Abakaliki capital city down to Ugbodo, the Ebonyi council headquarters.
The rehabilitation of the electric project is expected to cover all the towns attached to the feeder along the axis of Okaria, Oguzoronwiya, Abarigwe, Randa, Ugbodo and two other villages encircling Ugbodo, the council headquarters.
The residents of the Ebonyi council area have commended Uburu for having launched the rehabilitation of the electric project in their various towns.
