The ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Ebonyi berates the opposition political parties in the state over their bogus and frivolities claims recently.
This came to the fore when the press had a telephone conversation with the chairman of Ebonyi State APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha a few hours ago.
Responding to some of the allegations, Chief Emegha who absolved his party of any undemocratic step explained that the opposition has come to the reality of its unavoidable and colossal electoral failure in the next year's general elections.
"Let me tell you, newsmen, that whosoever that has started accusing the APC of vote buying is totally frustrated, defected and also lacks absolute knowledge on how the INEC election device operates. How can a sensible party or parties be insulating that there is vote buying this early? It means that they are ignorant of how the INEC voting device works"
"The administration of Governor David Umahi has incredibly performed by dotting the entire landscape of Ebonyi State with myriads of dividends of democracy. We are on the ground and the electorate is happy with our laudable achievements. We have no reason whatsoever to buy votes even on election day. Even without going on campaigns, the infrastructural and human capital achievements of his Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi have dominated the hearts of the people and hence campaigned for us".
"Our candidates are the most credible and reliable in this forthcoming polls. Is it our Governorship candidate, the Right Honourable, Chief Francis Nwifuru who has been with this administration from its inception? He is a leader whose heartbeat longs for the people. Our Senatorial candidates with a special mention of the Governor, Chief David Umahi representing Ebonyi South, they are all topnotch from every positive prescriptive".
"Their greatest nightmare is the volcanic defection hitting their political walls with even their standard bearers joining the APC. I, therefore at this juncture, wish to urge the Ebonyi electorate to totally ignore the falsehood being peddled by the frustrated people and continue to join hands with Governor David Umahi in building our dear state and also to install a leadership that will continue with the developmental roadmap already in existence".
