No fewer than 1,200 persons in Ebonyi State benefited from federal government vulnerable cash transfers in the state.
The cash transfer was attracted by the member representing the Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah.
He noted that he attracted the cash transfer to appreciate the constituents and other beneficiaries across the state for their support for him and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ogah urged the beneficiaries to continue to support him and the party as according to him, more democracy dividends will be attracted to them by him
"We have already secured relief materials for those affected by the flood disaster and we will distribute them to you very soon
"You worked hard for it. You voted for us, you are the reasons we went to the National Assembly and we must continue to protect your interest.
"More things are coming for you. Go and campaign for APC because if we win, we will do more for you", he stated.
He called on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hamzi Farouk, who was represented by her Special Assistant, Kingsley Ngene during the disbursement of the funds to the beneficiaries, lauded Ogah, describing him as a true son of Ebonyi.
"You will not understand and appreciate the kind of son you have in Hon. B Chinedu Ogah until you go to Abuja.
"There is no office in Abuja, there is no ministry in Abuja that he has not been to, to make sure that Ebonyi's own comes to them and to make sure that everybody like you enjoys what federal government has for you people", he said. ENDS
