From Victor Nwegede, Abakaliki
The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu has arrived in Ebonyi State.
Tinubu arrived at the Ochuodu Centenary City, the Ebonyi State's new Government House, Abakaliki by 6.40 pm from Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
The APC Presidential candidate was received by the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi alongside the state governorship flag bearer of his party, Francis Nwifuru and the state executive council members with a solidarity song "on your mandate we stand," for a few minutes.
Tinubu came to the state for the official flag-off of his presidential rally ahead of the 2023 polls.
Tinubu at his arrival in Abakaliki commissioned a dualized road project with solar-powered lights leading to the State's new government house.
The project, according to the state governor, was one of the projects built by the present state government.
Umahi also disclosed that the state is currently having two government houses, saying the old one is occupied by his deputy.
Tinubu described Umahi's infrastructural development as a historic landmark, and further commended the state governorship flag bearer, Francis Nwifuru whom he described as an accomplished leader. He assured Nwifuru of his cooperation to accomplish his 2023 bid.
Tinubu is currently at the Presidential lodge in the new government house, where he would proceed to the State's new Executive Council Chambers in Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.
He was accompanied by the former Speaker of the House Representatives, Dumeji Bankole. It is expected that Tinubu's running mate, Ahmed Shettima and other APC stalwarts from different parts of the country would arrive at any moment from now for the presidential rally flag-off in the state.
