Unknown gunmen have killed two (2) members of the Ebebeagu Security Outfit in Ebonyi in a Friday night shooting.
SP Chris Anyanwu, Spokesman of Police Command in the state confirmed the incident on Saturday in Abakaliki.
According to Anyanwu, the incident occurred on Friday night and two of the Ebubeagu personnel were shot dead.
"Investigation is ongoing over the matter and no arrest has been made," he added.
Mr Monaday Opara, the resident in the area, told newsmen that the incident happened around 7 pm, Friday night at Ebebe junction, Ebonyi local government Area of the state.
"They were victims but before they could get to the hospital, two died while others with bullet injuries are receiving treatment at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki," Opara stated.
