On media caution against much ado of political display in Ebonyi, Lawrence Egede canvasses for the security of the state before playing partisan politics as the 2023 general elections were fast approaching.
Let us secure Ebonyi State first before playing politics because we need to have space before fighting to get a mat for better relaxation time.
I mean that we are mature enough to know what we need first, before any other thing not based only on playing politics.
Some of us who critically look at what is going on, especially about politics, and try to say something very important are never taken seriously at all.
Politics shouldn't control people but people should control politics, to be in charge of all situations before them, and also disallow situations to be in charge of things about people.
People's failure in this regard has been the frustration of the potentialities, that should have genuinely been protecting the interest of people, encouraging them in the political, economic and social security systems of the nation.
That is to say that on the contrary people are under highly toxic political control in Nigeria, which has contributed to creating a lot of controversies in the nation and at the localities.
Brothers and sisters, relations and friends can no longer live in peace because of politics of all sorts, mostly on how to survive and perhaps excel over many others and be in absolute control.
At times for political reasons, people can sit on the progress of others, they can deny others of the good opportunities given to them.
They can easily frustrate others, they can lay the truth aside first and do the contrary.
They can render people miserably helpless to react, weak to do otherwise, feeble to act in defence of their rights, speechless and frustrated.
Politics and power are so sweet in Nigeria, so attractive, alluring and lucrative to a crazy extent that without it nothing to write home about being recognized.
I still remember that the first republic was killed by politics, and the military took it over for what they called a correction.
But the same level of infection of leprosy in politics caught up with the military kingpins also, while the corruption in it got into their mentality and poisoned the fabrics of the lifestyles, which they have acquired to lead in the process of time.
In politics, the whole fighting for this and that ends with the mundane wealth acquisitions of life, and no more no less.
The Nigerian context about politics is to get rich first, to have sufficiency before considering any other thing.
That's why today most people want to play politics including the Professionals, who should have been relevant in building the economy of Nigeria through the development of Education, Industry, Healthcare, Security and Stabilization of Business Trade in the global markets.
Politics has made the people become slaves of hard times, under very ugly circumstances with severe economic problems because of self-first ideology.
Following the present political trends so far, Nigeria is still not ready with solutions to the very problems facing the people in trouble of lack in everything.
The only organizations that are fairly not against the unity, peace, harmony and general progress of Nigeria have been the Armed Forces, whose own responsibilities are to defend the territorial integrity of the nation by bating their lives in danger of everything, even unto death.
From the look of things the way the core politicians in the nation's affairs are behaving, calls for very serious caution.
So many persons involved in the mainstream of politics, and at the localities in the country are behaving as if there are no problems facing the masses.
Some of them would invest a little to gain more from the people, to be on top of the world with untold rights and privileges for themselves alone.

It is only the politicians that became highly affected directly by the ugly situations, and the ones having compassion for human beings that can bother about the fate of the nation and the masses.
Some politicians are thinking that Nigeria is for them alone, and to them, there's nothing as good as their businesses.
In Ebonyi State, we can see it happening in such ways that leave a lot to be desired about politics. It is going haywire.
People who are honest inside their hearts will simply agree with me, that all is not yet well about playing politics here in the State.
This is because if a leader puts into practice what it entails to have a befitting place called a State, with the needed Infrastructural development facilities for Ease of Business, people will still kick against it politically, as if left for them to do what they can do a lot better, but it is not true and not possible.
These kinds of politicians are more in Ebonyi State families, where playing politics is first for them than any other thing.
Seeing the impending danger in the political situation today, I am now saying that we should secure Ebonyi State first before any other thing, politics notwithstanding.
Daring and greedy politicians in Ebonyi State should please take note now for God's sake.
