Media tidy up the situation reports on Governor David Umahi's relationship with political parties in Ebonyi State, Egede Lawrence writes.
I am not going to talk about politics here only, but will much more talk about policies, principles, discretion, truth, decency and orderliness in an environment of very peaceful coexistence and tolerance.
From the way I look at issues of politics in Ebonyi State, I can say that Governor Umahi is all party friendly, with the style he behaves himself generously.
One thing about timidity, which is not necessary is that people try to complain about nothing of suspicion, in a situation where there is no cause for alarm at a time not due or unwarranted for it.
It is like having a biased mind against a perceived enemy, who is not necessarily an enemy in a field of play, where nothing has gone wrong as to have worries about harmless strong people.
I think Nigeria is not yet into an advanced mentality stage of the best practices in global politics, and that's the reason for opponents being afraid of nothing amiss, at a ripe time for peaceful human coexistence.
I have noticed that indecency and disorderliness are ruling the politics of the day in Nigeria.
So, when someone who is to blame if anything goes wrong tries to instil discipline, it may be misunderstood as a hitch.
Nigeria is sixty-two years old in Independence, but politics isn't decent enough to give honour and respect to the nation's age of high-level responsibility.
Each time I try to examine the political problems of Nigeria it runs counterfeit of civilization, at this stage of competence in the new global developments.
Likewise, when psychological research work tells me about a person or persons, who do well in environmental development and want to maintain it tries to instil discipline, people see it as a hindrance in their way.
When initiative or discretion is at work from innovative habits, it becomes taboo to people that cannot tolerate ideals.
When someone in sympathy for decency and orderliness is defending a better situation, it becomes the singing of praises.
There's no type of meaning that the opposing politicians will not read into what they dislike, which doesn't dance to their tune or at their dictates.
All I know of the truth is that there was no time Governor Umahi is a threat, nor a barrier to the freedom of campaign by all political parties in Ebonyi State.
If anybody should value or not value what I have said here, let God judge between this matter and how people may think of it.
