Traditional medicine dealers under the auspices of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) in Ebonyi have endorsed the state governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), Prophet Chris Adol Awam as their preferred candidate for the 2023 gubernatorial election.
The members of the Association led by their Chairman of the association, Ambassador Stella Amadi, endorsed Adol Awam at Oferekpe Igbegu Community in the Izzi Local Government of the State.
The NANTMP used the occasion to confer chieftaincy title to the women leader of the Association in the Izzi Local Government Area Chapter, Chief Mrs Elizabeth Paul for her significant contribution towards the growth and development of the Association at the state and local government levels.
Speaking during the occasion, the state Chairman of the Association, Chief Amb. Stella Amadi described Adol Awam as a gubernatorial candidate who stands tall to beat other candidates.
She said that Adol Awam has credible qualities ranging from his competence, and his past antecedents especially when he was the Chairman of Ebonyi Local government area speak volumes of his promising leadership dispositions.
The NANTMP Boss called other groups and individuals in the state to support and vote for Adol Awam to become the state governor next year, saying that "he (Adol Awam) is the only man with a divine map for Ebonyi people."
In addition, the State Vice Chairman of the Association, Chief Okechukwu Ogbonna described Adol Awam as a man sent by God to deliver the Ebonyi people from the bondage of poverty and hunger. Chief Okechukwu said that Adol Awam is the best option for Ebonyi people come 2023.
Recall that Adol Awam who was officially invited to the event, stormed there with his campaign team to grace the occasion.
Awam expressed gratitude to the Association for endorsing him for the 2023 governorship election and promised if elected would alleviate the suffering of the Ebonyi people and industrialize the state.
He also promised to modernize Ebonyi's traditional medical system by establishing a befitting secretariat where different herbal healers and other members of NANTMP would be trained and retrained on how to go about packaging their products for a satisfactory standard.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Mrs Elizabeth Paul and her husband, Mr Paul Chima expressed joy and happiness to members of the association for honouring them with the chieftaincy title.
The duo extolled Adol Awam's promising leadership style and called Ebonyi people to join hands to vote for the NNPP gubernatorial candidate to emerge victorious in the 2023 governorship election in the state.
