Ebonyi State Governor, David Nweze Umahi on Thursday officially flagged off the business activities at Everyday Supermarket in the newly built Shopping Mall complex in Abakaliki capital city.
Governor Umahi at the event said the idea behind the construction of the edifice was to boost economic activities by providing jobs to citizens of the state.
The Shopping Mall, according to him, has provided at least three hundred jobs for a start-up; and disclosed that the edifice would offer over two thousand job opportunities to Ebonyi people at full capacity, soon.
He called on the people to take full advantage of the commencement of economic activities to do their yuletide shopping at the mall.
Recall that the Chief Executive Officer of the Everyday Supermarket assured that they were in the Mall to provide the best of services to the teeming Ebonyi populace.
He hinted that fifty people have already been employed by the supermarket and many Ebonyi people will be considered for supplies.
Meanwhile, Governor Umahi and his entourage after the official flag off took their time to shop from the rich bouquet of commodities at the Supermarket.
