The member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency at National Assembly, Comrade Chinedu Ogah has distributed relief items worth millions of Naira to his constituents at Item Amagu in the Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The items distributed by the Federal Lawmaker to his constituents included motorcycles, wrappers, bags of rice, tins of tomatoes, Maggi, salt, groundnut oil, mats, blankets, money and packaged beans, among others.
Ogah appreciated all who attended the annual event and expressed his readiness to continue to empower the less privileged, youths, and women from his constituency and beyond.
"By the time I finish my first tenure, if any Senator in Ebonyi has achieved what I have achieved, I will resign,” the lawmaker said.
He announced that the event holds every 26th of December yearly, noting that it is being used to empower his constituents and ensures they were given a sense of belonging as citizens of the State.
Ogah declared before the mammoth crowd that the level of insecurity in the country would be curtailed if youths are empowered and constituents are given a fair share of the dividends of democracy.
“We are here to feed our people. In 2023, it’s going to be APC all the way. We are going to vote for Jagaban; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of the country. We stand with the federal government. I have attracted about 50,000 bags of rice to the State from the Federal government."
The event attracted dignitaries, especially stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, both in the LGA and Ebonyi State at large, members of the State Executive Council, different support groups and representatives of meaningful personalities in the society.
In his goodwill message, the 2023 APC candidate for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Engr. Ken Eze announced that the House of Representatives member for Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency would be returned unopposed to the National Assembly in the forthcoming general election.
Eze called on his constituents to give maximum support and campaign for the House of Representatives member as he (Ogah) has performed above expectations and merits a second term in office.
