Lawrence Egede writes on media check-ups on diverse ways of incessant killings of fellow human beings in Nigeria.
We try to write after going through the news of the day, about various happenings in the society made up of human beings.
There are some important lessons to learn from this piece, which will help us to know and understand the real problems inherent in deliberate murder cases, in any form or design.
Even in the developed world the case of incessant killings, because of the inventions of weapons of mass destruction of lives and properties has deliberately gone nuclear.
The only difference is that the laws of the developed world are still effective, and the forces are in control of every Security challenge and many circles.
We write to enable the people who are aware and not aware, those that are in the position to do something to seize the best opportunity and take action very fast.
The act of reasonable writing is not an easy task mentally, and the motivating spirit in it doesn't come where there is no immediate response to the demand.
In today's Nigeria, killings of fellow human beings have become so rampant, of nobody knows who becomes the next victim at any moment.
In the modern era and a little longer before now, rarely would one hear about diverse killings anywhere, anyhow and anytime as much as it is happening today in Nigeria.
What I am seeing today in Nigeria is like feasting on deliberate acts of killing fellow human beings, the assassination of the law, murder of conscience, elimination of compassion and derailment of societal norms.
In the new testament law of God in the new dispensation, the crime of deliberate murder is a very grievous offence.
People whose stock in trade is to deliberately kill fellow human beings have serious cases to answer before God, even the present canal law of mortals seriously condemns murder.
The way murderers operate these days shows that they don't know there is God, who takes record of all atrocities committed by people who kill fellow human beings anyhow.
Whether they are deliberately killing criminals or law-abiding citizens, murder is murder and no freedom has been given for such a heinous crime to be committed with impunity.
Whether murderers are killing to avenge others of the same measure of crime or to make merchandise of people to be feared, there is no how they can live alone in the world.
Assuming there is nobody left alive anymore for them to kill, can they turn around and kill themselves, or if they possess whatever they think they've got can it save them from blame and punishment in the end?
No murderer can go scot-free from being a culprit in the crime before God and mankind, especially as it stands now in the new dispensation law of the new testament time.
Moreover, no level of soberness can reduce the kind of penalty meted out for committing deliberate murder.
After the old testament law of tooth for that, the new system of the law in the present ongoing new dispensation has no room for any reason whatsoever, to accommodate any deliberate murder of anybody anywhere.
With the new testament time generation as far as the law is concerned, human beings have no more jungle rights to kill their fellow human beings based on deliberate actions.
But nowadays in Nigeria, the reverse is the case because deliberate murder is of revenge order and the political, social and religious aspects of the crime are a merchandise duty for the marketplaces of cold bloodletting, hot burger, cool bread and cream butter for those that kill people as a job.
In Nigeria, it looks as if there is no law, no restraint, and no limits, as to how far the murderers could go in having the impunity to kill people freely and deliberately.
When I look into the present system of political campaigns going on, the way some of the politicians see challenges is like wishing themselves dead by all means possible, without healthy reasons behind it.
They have continued to expose their ills to the public, descending from Olympian heights to employ the language of gutter snipe against each other openly.
Such a thing is already an act of deliberate murder by design in wishing themselves dead, but they may not know that it is a heinous crime not aimed at allowing peace to reign.
Upon the inner man's murder design yet they want people to still be friends, and give them massive support and solidarity so that they will win elections.
They seem to forget that where there is no friendliness, of course, there's no peace and harmony, where there's no love there will be no competence while good challenges will die.
Some Nigerian politicians don't know that if good challenges die the essence of politics will also die, and the joy of winning and having victory is nonsensical, irrelevant, null and void and of non-effect without a gain in the game any longer.
This is one problem that our Elders, our Traditional Rulers, the Religious leaders, Peace and Justice crusaders, and all other well-meaning citizens of Nigeria should start looking into, together with the political authorities in office and find an immediate tangible solution to it in the godliest manner.
Godly disposition, human integrity and political maturity have no space for wishing good challenges dead before the joy of victories over others should be celebrated.
The most attractive political Campaign is such that has a friendly and accommodating disposition, to lure the public closer to reason together and consider the merits of good public relations knowledge.
The worst nauseating type of campaign is such that wears acrimonious dressing habits, to scare people away from being attentive to serious business.
Assuming that as the 2023 elections are drawing near and peradventure, just before the exercise comes up all good challenges die off by all means, how then can there be any such opponent who will contest with who?
In such a case probably, who becomes the winner of a competition that never took place, because of the atrocious demise of other challenging opponents?
It is high time people should start thinking positively wherever they are and in whichever thing they do, however, they do it and whatsoever be their wish for others.
The biblical book of the PHILIPPIANS chapter 4 verse 8 says; "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
The Holy Bible didn't say that in Nigeria, whether in politics, social matters, or religious issues and in any other way round, deliberate killings of fellow human beings, by all means, should become a normal active feast, for the harvest of atrocities.
To God is the glory forever.
