Lawrence Egede on media attributes to Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, the Candidate for the Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made a plea to his Constituents ahead of the 2023 general elections.
There was an American called Tony Wilson. He was a serious musician, who sang a song about politicians that are always in the habit of "Promise and Fail."
In the Album he described the political characters of Promise and Fail, as elements of Talk and not Do. He said that politicians are fond of saying one thing yesterday, but today they never do it and by tomorrow they will say a different and unexpected thing altogether on the same matter in a contrary manner.
It was noticed in America, a place known as an advanced world, but surprisingly Tony Wilson disclosed to us the contrary thing he discovered about politicians there.
If such a thing could be seen in that part of the world, there may not be any excuse for a country like Nigeria not to be in the same has with her domestic Politicians.
Till today, the Nigerian factor has not changed anything about the issue of people promising and failing.
It is not only in politics that we can get such people who can promise anybody something today, only to disappoint him or her in the next moment without remorse.
For instance, Liars, pretenders, people in the camouflage of heart and spirit, envious elements, people in deceptive character, people in the habit of cheating, people in the trial and error business of cover-up, people who sabotage their fellow human beings, those that are diplomatic in blindfolding others not to notice the success around them, those that are too economical in telling the truth, people who deliberately dodge facts, people who refuse to do the right thing in the right way and at the right time, those who avoid people to hide what they ought to disclose to them, those who use silence to kill the facts on issues that would have helped others, those that sit tight quietly against other people's honour and those who are greedy and avaricious, not only in playing politics but also in many other areas of human concerns are all involved.
So, if you possess any of the above character threats, you need to retrace your footsteps, either as a politician or as a layman amongst other people.
Now, we have Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, a political Candidate in APC, "All Progressives Congress" and will soon face competition in the forthcoming general elections.
He is going to contest the election into the Federal House of Representatives, on the platform of APC soon.
He wants to represent the people of the Ohaukwu/Ebonyi Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers in the National Assembly in Abuja the Capital territory of Nigeria.
Presently he is campaigning and has been coming to your doorsteps, seeking support and solidarity, demanding and desiring our collective votes.
My humble appeal to everyone is that we should welcome him, admit his heart's desires, meet his demands from us and let him become victorious at last.
Let us stand behind him, stand beside him, stay in front of him and be round about him in his yearnings, leading him to get to the destination at Abuja.
Let us be his fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends, and well-wishers and consider him good for our collective votes on the day of the general elections.
And again perhaps you don't like him but if possible let it be that instead of seeing him as not a friend, you just have to see him as your good neighbour and vote for him assuming you belong to his Constituency.
God will bless you immensely for considering him worthy of your votes, as a personal good gesture.
Mark you that Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze is not like the elements, in Tony Wilson's music description of politicians that are in the habit of "Talk And Not Do".
To God is the glory forever.
