Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial zone, Michael Ama Nnachi at the weekend said there were no other primaries and court cases in the Ebonyi State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) against this year's general election.
There has been speculation that the governorship candidate of the party in the state, Chief Ifeanyi Odii has been sacked by the court with fresh primaries held which have produced another person as the candidate of the party.
But addressing the party supporters in his Item Edda hometown, Afikpo South local government area of the state during Ebonyi South campaign flag off of the party, Nnachi dismissed the insinuations.
He said "there is no other court case in PDP, there are no other primaries in PDP. We have finished our primaries, National Working Committee has recognized our primaries, and INEC has recognized our primaries. Before you change any of us is when you kill us and Doctors will certify us dead otherwise no one can substitute us".
He boasted that the party will trounce APC at the polls and takeover Ebonyi government house
"We have four months to be in government house, we are marching to government house and Ifeanyi Odii will be the governor. We are going to pay workers full salaries, local governments will get their allocations full. We are going to empower the people of the state with human capital development.
"Ifeanyi Odii is a good businessman who will bring his experience and develop the state, there will be even development under him. He doesn’t require your subvention or monthly allocation to stand because he is already very rich, he is one of the richest in America and he has huge investments. He will require your subvention to use for you, to empower you and develop the state.
"In the state, teachers in that contribute money to buy chalk and teach our children. I got to know this recently when I did educational empowerment. Is this good? A cartoon of chalk is N3,000 and teachers contribute money to buy it to teach our children. Those things will be a history under Ifeanyi Odii’s administration which is coming up in the next four months because we are genuine people and we will genuinely rule you, people.
"Without them leaving us, people think we don’t have capacity but see the latest as know that we have the better capacity than the capacity you think they have. How can I be doing Christmas and I will give civil servants N2,000 each, how can I do this as a governor? Ifeanyi Odii will never do this.
"So, we have to wake up and wake up to our course. Nothing will happen to PDP members, nobody will touch them. The spirit of God will fight for us. In Edda, they planned to kill us, God started killing them in their own house and any of us they touch, God will touch them", he stated.
The Senator used the occasion and announced scholarships for 300 students in tertiary institutions.
"I want to start a scholarship and the money is ready. I am giving 300 scholarships from this moment. We have all the motorcycles, all the keke to give you empowerment. From what in have here, every local government is going with one million Naira.
