Working to ensure a successful outing in the 2023 polls, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh has begun the inspection of the ongoing distribution of the Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs to registered voters by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Ebonyi State.
Dr Ezeh who has been campaigning for the collection of the PVCs by the electorate said he decided to embark on the supervision of the PVC distribution during the weekend to ascertain the level of compliance in the state.
His words: "I decided to embark on the supervision to also know the challenges of both the INEC who is distributing the PVCs and the registered voters, who are yet to collect their cards.
“I decided to make sure that all registered voters in the state collect their cards because everything that can make my party win the election lies on the PVCs."
He added: "I know that the Labour Party will win all the positions in the country but I am working very hard to make our victory a landslide type.
“I don’t believe in election malpractices, rather I believe in doing that right thing at the right time.
“Encouraging our registered voters to collect their PVCs is paramount, and knowing the challenges of the INEC is also important so that all hitches would be addressed."
The House of Representatives Candidate who visited various wards and polling units urged all the registered voters that have not yet collected their PVCs to do so to enable them to vote for the Labour Party to rewrite the unfavourable stories of Nigeria as a nation in 2023, noting that bad leadership had almost destroyed the country.
Interacting with newsmen, Pastor Kalu Udensi, and Ukamaka Nwogbaga, among others who have collected their PVCs, commended the INEC for stepping down the distribution of voter cards to the ward level and polling unit.
They encouraged other Ebonyi citizens who were yet to collect their PVCs to do so to enable them to elect the right candidates on election day.
