The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged the exit Corps members not to underplay the promising virtues displayed during their one-year compulsory service to the nation.
The State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Bamai Mercy Dawuda, gave this advice on Thursday at Nkaliki, the headquarters of Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State during the passing out ceremony of the 2022 Batch 'A' Stream '1' Corps members.
The Coordinator represented by the NYSC Assistant Director in the Planning Research and Statistics Department, Joseph Ugbovo congratulated the outgoing corps members for having completed their one-year compulsory service in the state successfully.
She described the passing out ceremony of the 2022 Batch 'A' Stream '1' Corps members as a thing of joy and assured them of receiving their certificates after her official speech at the event.
"This is a thing of joy and any moment from now, your certificates will be issued to you and when you leave here portray the NYSC in a very good image."
The Coordinator prayed that the labour market would be in the favour of the outgoing Corps members, wishing them a merciful journey while going to their various homes.
Mrs Bamai announced that a total of 555 corps members comprising 249 males and 306 females of the 2022 Batch 'A' Stream '1' passed out today in Ebonyi State.
Interacting with journalists, some of the outgoing crops members including Yahaya Abiola Sodeeq from Osun State, Oliseh Samuel Ifeanyi from Delta State and Comfort Okorie from Ebonyi State, among others commended the NYSC officials highly especially their hospitable manner to them while serving the state.
They expressed their enthusiasm to develop their already acquired skills during their service after passing out to make a better livelihood and further contribute to the nation's building and development.
