Any opposition party against the Obedient movement in Ebonyi might be in a great shock now following the massive supporters backing the Labour Party family during its campaign trains in the hinterlands of the state ahead of the 25th February and 11th March general elections.
NATIONAL PANEL reports that Tuesday morning the atmosphere of the Ohaukwu council area of the state was highly filled with Obidient dews, as the Labour Party faithful and the teeming supporters of the party stormed the major strategic areas of the council including Izziangbo flyover, Ngbo court to Ikwor Road, Izziangbo/Effium road among others.
The mammoth crowds were visibly happy on the arrival of the state governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Ebonyi State, Architect Edward Nkwegu, with the Labour Party House of Representatives Candidate for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Prince Ndubisi Chibueze Agbo, other candidates and stakeholders of the party.
They received them while chatting their solidarity songs of victory for the Labour Party candidates at the polls beginning from Peter Obi on Saturday.
The Obidient supporters who occupied the spaces in Ohaukwu LGA in solidarity with Ebonyi Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Architect Edward Nkwegu, attracted heavy traffic jams in every route in the area.
Speaking to journalist, the Youth Coordinator of the Obidient rally, Mr Obinna Eze Nwa said, "we are here to celebrate the victory of Edon - Architect Edward Nkwegu and Ndubuisi Chubueze Agbo alongside the House of Assembly candidates of the Labour Party. We will translate our support to the victory of the Labour Party as Obidient Ohaukwu people, by voting massively for Peter Obi and all other Labour Party candidates on Saturday. The same thing will happen on the 11th March polls, beginning with Architect Edward Nkwegu, our incoming governor in Ebonyi State."
He further noted that this solidarity rally was a long-awaited one because the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Architect Edward Nkwegu has demonstrated a lot of leadership prowess which distinguished him from other governorship candidates, especially his records in his entrepreneurship businesses and humanitarian organisations, among others.
Meanwhile, the campaign trains are still going on with the inhabitants of the council area tripping out in their numbers to drum support for the Labour Party family in the state as at the time of filing this report.
