TOUCHING THE LIVES OF MANY INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH SAMUEL OMOGO FOUNDATION BY A UNITED STATES OF AMERICA-BASED CATHOLIC PRIEST REVEREND FATHER PETER OKWO EZE OMOGO

Priesthood in Christendom is viewed to be a situation where one sacrifices his or her life as God,s messenger through holiness, and acquisition of detailed biblical knowledge. for enhanced and soul-winning evangelism as well as sound spiritual leadership style for the progress of the church.
Interestingly Reverend Father Peter Omogo besides this divine assignment having served as a priest in some parishes including has set a new priesthood record not only in the catholic church in Ebony state Nigeria but other sister churches by providing borehole water well. education, health facilities as well as empowerment schemes for the poor and needy across many communities of the state including Ngbo, Izzi, Ezza, Ikwo, Ntezi, Okpoto, Agba, Afikpo, Uburu Ohozara, Effium.Edda, Ivo and many other areas.
Presently over five hundred water wells drilled in virtually all parts of the state, especially in rural areas including Abakaliki the state capital which had contributed favourably in addressing the threat of guinea worm saga which had been the major disease factor facing the people of the area before the creation of the state in 1996, by General Sani Abacha military regime.
This borehole water Wales project which continues to advertise Father Omogo, and priesthood activities to all and sundry within the state and beyond resulted in turning en mass of hundreds of residential groups, churches, schools and markets to apply for the provision of borehole water Wales annually specifically during the application submission/, grande finale of the Samuel Omogo Foundation Empowerment scheme disbursement usually by January annually.
Father Omogo usually disburse tailoring machines, and motorcycles to less privileged individuals, the disabled, and priests from different churches, and schools to encourage skill acquisition curriculum as well as laptops to undergraduates especially medical and law students.
The just concluded edition of Father Omogo,s pet project is very outstanding with over twenty thousand people in attendance at his country home in Abarigwe Umuogudu Oshia Ngbo with many beneficiaries smiling home with cars, Motorcycles, tailoring machines and approval for the drilling of boreholes.
A director of the foundation Dr Rosemary Ozioma Aligwe explained that the Samuel Omogo, Foundation was established to meet the needs of suffering Nigerians beginning with the drilling of boreholes to tackle the historic water scarcity in the area resulting in guinea worm disease.

Dr Anigwe said the foundation properly assesses applicants before approving him or them for beneficiary adding that the Foundation is also focusing on areas of health and education to contribute to addressing factors against the provision of quality health services and education.
Reverend father Gabriel Owor who lead other Catholic priests in a mass during the ceremony in a sermon entitled “The essence of doing good” admonished people to seek and re-discover ways of doing good for their fellow human beings and society at large.
Sewing machines and motorcycles for beneficiaries
Father Owor stressed that Father Omogo had through the foundation added more value to evangelism to win more souls to God and advised other priests and individuals to utilize thief gifts and focus effectively to make the society.
Speaking on the achievement of the foundation. a front-line legal practitioner Barrister Michael Odo described the pastoral work of Father Omogo as excellent.
Barrister Odo said he had done beyond the expectation of many in the provision of key social amenities. human empowerment restoring the dignity of humanity to many as a result of inflicting high-level poverty in the country.
Some of the beneficiaries, Master Jeremiah Ominyi who said he acquired cloth sowing skills but has no money to buy a tailoring machine and Civilian Nwofoke who suddenly lost her mother after Father Omogo and his team visited their village to officially open a borehole drilled in their area in Izzi thanked father Omogo for attending to their need. through the foundation and wished him more divine blessings.
Collaborating with them Mr Alfred Ugwoke from Ngbo and Mr Joseph Inyere from Ntezi who were given new motorcycles commended the vision of Father Omogo stressing that his pet project which is beneficial to all in the state and beyond had converted many idle worshippers to Christianity.
They praised his friends and financiers in the USA and other parts of the world praying for more divine favour over them.
In an interview with the pressmen that covered the event, the vision bearer of the foundation Reverend Father Peter Omogo attributed the coming into existence of the pet project to a condolence package from his good friends in the United States who offered to drill some borehole water in Wales back home in Nigeria to immortalize his lovely elder brother who died prematurely some years ago.
Father Omogo emphasized that he decided to add health and education to the focus of the foundation to intervene in the deteriorating situation of the sectors for the interest of the common man.
According to him, I’m fulfilled with the goodwill of his friends all over the world who donate their hard-earned money for the success of the projects praying to God Almighty to further bless them and their households.
