The Acting Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC in Ebonyi State, Comrade Ernest Nwagwu Nwaze has felicitated with the Christians as they observe the 2023 Easter festivity.
Nwaze while interacting with newsmen on Sunday in Abakaliki described Easter as a remarkable occasion in the Christian community which encourages peace, unity, love, sacrifice and forgiveness among people in their various locales.
He urged the Christians to emulate the good virtue of Jesus Christ adopting His quality services, which He rendered to the human race that distinguished Him as the ultimate being on Earth today.
"When it was time for who will come to save us, Jesus Christ said, send me God, and He came and died for our sins. We thank Him for increasing our faith, by resurrecting from death.
"At this time, we commemorate His death and resurrection, we urge Christians to have a sober reflection of His ultimate sacrifices to humanity.
"As Christians, we are expected to change from our bad virtues to turn a new leaf, by behaving like Christ," Nwaze said.
While advising members of different religious groups to prioritise peace-building in their various communities, Nwaze described Jesus Christ as a symbol of love and unity in the human race.
"Jesus Christ is a symbol of love, and He never discriminated, and we should not discriminate. 1st Corinthians Chapter 13, He said, love supersedes everything, irrespective of our religions, tribes, colours or race, if you love your neighbours as yourself, you will not think evil against anybody.
"Christ also stated that He came not for the Saints but also for the sinners, to save them and let them get repented.
"It is very important, that every religion sees love as they see Christ in their lives because Christ is a symbol of love, peace and unity," he added.
Advising the people in the seat of authority in their various offices, the IPAC Boss described Christ as a symbol of leadership.
"We believe that power came from God, and he is the giver of the power. It's incumbent on the followers to obey the authority, while the leaders should always try to consider the interest of the majority of our followers because there is no how you will satisfy everybody," he said.
