Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has described the Senator-elect of the Ebonyi North District, Barrister Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi as a political wizard of the contemporary age.
According to a release issued and made available to NATIONAL PANEL by Nwebonyi's Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Valentine Nwori on Wednesday, Governor
Wike made this statement at Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, during the inauguration of the completed projects by his administration.
The Ebonyi North Senator-elect, Nwebonyi was among the high-powered delegations across Nigeria including Senator Godswill Akpabio, who accompanied the country's President-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu for the inaugural ceremony of the completed projects by Governor Wike's led administration in Rivers State.
Performing the inauguration, Tinubu eulogized Wike for initiating and completing people's oriented projects in the state.
Earlier, Governor Wike singled Chief Nwebonyi out from among many other personalities and commended him for his overwhelming victory at the 2023 polls.
The Rivers State Governor said, "Nwebonyi's emergence as the Senator-elect for Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone is sure proof that he did awesomely well as an erstwhile Ebonyi State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party and must have contributed immensely for the development of Ebonyi State at large."
Responding, Nwebonyi told Wike that all he has become and achieved was a result of the love the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engineer Engr David Nweze Umahi had for him.
