The Anglican Bishop of Niger Delta North, Rt Rev. Wisdom Budu Ihunwo gave the hint during a thanksgiving service by the family of the immediate past governor of River State, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Runuepirikom Denary, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The cleric advised Christians especially those in positions of trust to cultivate the virtue of thanksgiving to God.
According to the Anglican Bishop, those in Leadership positions should see it as a privilege from God and an opportunity to impact possibly the lives of their subjects.
"We have gathered here to praise God. We thank former Governor Wike for realising the faithfulness of God upon him. PoThe positions a privilege n, not a right, therefore, leaders should be conscious of the fact that they will be held accountable after their tenure," he said.
Bishop Ihunwo eulogized Wike for his achievements during his tenure and for always standing firm in doing the right thing.
In a remark, the former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike said the thanksgiving was to appreciate God for his intervention during turbulent periods while in office
"As a leader y, you should be courageous and do the right thing. I am thanking God today because all the evil plots against me failed," he said.
The thanksgiving service was attended by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu who was represented by Governor Babajide Sanwu - olu of Lagos State, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; Serving Governors and former Governors including Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State and Senator David Nweze Umahi.
