The David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences, Uburu in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has matriculated 570 fresh students for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Jesse Uneke disclosed this during the matriculation ceremony.
Professor Uneke said "Our vision is to become a foremost international reputable for learning, innovation, research and collaboration where the highest form of quality manpower development for the health and other related sectors will be achieved"
"It is our mission to serve mankind with the highest form of professionalism, ethics and excellence by training highly qualified health professionals who will work to improve health conditions, alleviate sickness, suffering and pain through the provision of high quality, efficient, cost-effective, and integrated health services"
Uneke added that the school is after excellent, scholarship and productivity to enhance the general well-being of all mankind.
"Our staff are highly qualified, our examinations are Computer Based which means within sixty seconds after your exam, you will get your results"
"Our payments are online and affordable for all Nigerians who value education, therefore you can pay for your child or ward from any part of the world without stressing yourself to come to the school. The University Starts lectures by 8 am and close by 5 pm with breaks in between"
"We have one hundred per cent security, the general welfare of the students is assured. There is no need to take your children abroad for schooling as we have all it takes to give them quality education. Above all, we are projecting our students to be of international standard in line with international best practices.
Uneke assured the parents and caregivers of giving the students the best.
On his part, the Registrar of the University, Mr Vitalis Offor thanked God for the success recorded in the school.
"At first, we started with 54 students, but today as we are having our second matriculation, I can proudly tell you that the school have over 700 students". Offor added.
Offor called on the parents to bring their children to the school as they have what it takes to give them the best.
One of the Guests during the Matriculation, Barrister Emeka Nwode said the institution from what he is seeing around is one of the best academic institutions and is ready for quality teaching and learning.
"The teaching hospital is already open to cater for the health needs of the people. We expect that it remains the Tertiary health institution that cannot be reduced to basic health needs tneedsspecialization would be encouraged and some complicated health issues could be handled here". Nwode added.
