The Senior Special Assistant to the Ebonyi State Governor on transportation Hon. Frederick Nwogbaga has urged transporters in the State to avoid reckless driving and consider the safety of their lives and passengers while applying on the road esp, especially on the highways.
He stated this during his official resumption of office in Abakaliki, the State capital.
The Governor's aide who frowned on the carelessness of the people in the course of their pursuit to make money, called them to always be careful while driving as lives don't have duplicate and can't be bought with money.
He charged drivers who usually load in the unauthorize motor parks to relocate to the central park, warning that henceforth anybody caught would be made to face the full weight of the law.
He further caution traders who are doing their businesses along the road to immediately relocate to the State international market to pave the way for the free flow of vehicular and human movements, adding that the development would avoid unwarranted accidents while expressing his administration's commitment to ensuring sanity in the State capital.
According to him " No transporter is authorized to pick up passengers on the road within the capital city. Every loading and offloading must be done in the State's new park. Those trading along the roadside should move to the international market because there are causing traffic jams.
He called on every road user to take precautions while applying on the road for the overall interest and development of the State.
Nwogbaga while commending Governor Francis Nwifuru for appointing him into his administration promised to rise to his responsibilities by delivering on the mandate entrusted to him
He urged Governor Nwifuru to prioritise human capital development as the past administration has done a lot infrastructural-wise.
