The General Manager Ebonyi State Newspapers and Publishing Corporation, Sir Dom Isute (KSJI) has been elected into the executive committee of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).
The Afikpo Born veteran Journalist cum Public Relations expert was elected as a member Standing Committee East with 178 votes ahead of Lawrence Mpama and Chinedu Egere.
The election took place at the national biennial convention of the NGE held in Owerri.
The editor of Vanguard Newspapers, Mr Eze Anaba was also elected President of the 14 member exco with 250 votes to beat his opponent, Bolaji Adebiyi, immediate past editor of Thisday newspapers who got 81 votes.
Others also elected included, Mr Onuoha Ukeh - Managing Director of Sun newspapers as Standing Committee member (West), Dr Iyobosa Uwiagaren - Secretary, Mrs Hussaina Bangshika, Director News, Radio Nigeria as Deputy President and Steve Nwosu - Treasurer.
Also elected was Rose Moses as Standing Committee Member (West), Umoru Ibrahim - Vice President (North), Sheddy Ozoene - Vice President (East) and Dr Kabir Alabi Garba - Vice President (West) as well as Mohammed Sanusi Jibril - Member Standing Committee (North).
