The federal government has directed civil servants to upload their individual National Identification Number (NIN) on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information Systems, IPPIS platform no later than Monday 26th June 2023.
The directive for the inclusion of NIN on the IPPIS platform by federal workers was contained in a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Marcus Ogunbiyi, a copy was forwarded to the NATIONAL PANEL on Sunday.
According to the circular dated 24 May 2023 and addressed to the Chief of Staff to the President among relevant authorities, all the Federal Civil Servants enrolled on the IPPIS platform should visit the IPPIS platform using their Self-Service login credentials (usernames and passwords) through the IPPIS web address: service.ippis.gov.ng:4443 and upload their NIN on the IPPIS platform before the deadline.
Part of the circular read: "The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is working with relevant stakeholders towards harmonizing the IPPIS database with the National Identity Management System (NIMS) in line with the Presidential directive on the Harmonization of Biometric System with NIMS hosted by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
"In light of the foregoing, all Federal Civil Servants enrolled on the IPPIS platform are advised to visit the IPPIS platform using their Self-Service login credentials (usernames and passwords) through the IPPIS web address: service.ippis.gov.ng:4443 and upload their individual National Identification Number (NIN) on the IPPIS platform not later than Monday 26th June 2023.
"You are required to ensure strict compliance of your staff with the above directive, as defaulting officers would be sanctioned accordingly.
