The State governor made the appointment of Prof Umezurike on Friday.
Governor Nwifuru announced this through his Chief Press Secretary and said the appointment takes immediate effect.
He also announced that Prof Umezurike would be sworn - in on Tuesday 13th June 2023
He added that the swearing-in ceremony of the new SSG would take place at
the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Ochudo, Centenary City, Abakalilki by 10 am.
Recall that Governor Nwifuru urged Ebonyians to be patient with his administration, assuring them of gradually making all the appointments and ensuring quality service in the State.
He gave the assurance after the inauguration of his newly appointed aides numbering 21 at the weekend.
