Chairman, of the Igbo Lawyers Association (ILA), Chief Chuks Muoma, SAN, said President Bola Tinubu's administration would undergo setbacks following his old age and the divined manipulating forces coming from northern Nigeria.
Muoma, the Elder Statesman expressed concern that a cabal from Northern Nigeria would struggle to control Tinubu’s administration, after his inauguration on May 29, as President of the country.
Muoma who preferred a younger Tinubu on the seat of power in Aso Rock, was given the herculean task before him, pointed out that presidents of large countries, such as Nigeria, require to be always awake 24 hours a day in governance.
The ILA boss said: “I don’t know what he can achieve at his age with the attendant illnesses and frailty associated with his present state. For me, I would have preferred a younger person, in his 60s. It is a herculean task he is getting into and the question is: Can he dare the North?
“It is true, Yoruba are asking for restructuring of the country, can he brace up to do it?”, the ILA leader queried but thought that since Tinubu was a Moslem alongside his deputy, Alhaji Shettima, he may do well.
“Let’s watch. He wants to be there, and we don’t know what he’s going to achieve, for now." - Sun.
