Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru, FNIOB, FICA, GGCEHF is the fourth Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, South East of Nigeria.
He is a graduate of Technical and Vocational Education as well as a Graduate of Law from the prestigious Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru also holds a Master's Degree in Procurement and Value Chain Management from Salford University, United Kingdom.
Within the last couple of years, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru has served his people in several capacities including as exofficio member of PDP, Deputy Chief Whip and two-time Speaker of the hallowed Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
Sometime in 2022, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru got a clarion call from all quarters in the State to aspire to replace former Governor David Nweze Umahi at the expiration of his tenure in May 2023, a call he gladly heeded, thanks to his landslide victory in the March 18 Governorship election and subsequent swearing in as the 4th Executive Governor of the State on May 29, 2023.
But in the build-up to the election, some people expressed varieties of opinions about the person and pedigree of Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru.
Some of the opinions were positive and good attestation to the credibility of Right Honourable Nwifuru while some, most of which were based on either misinformation or hate were damagingly negative.
The opposition elements portrayed Right Honourable Nwifuru as wicked, diabolic and brutal while some saw him as being unexposed to the trend of things in the wider society.
In all, following his swearing-in, Right Honourable Nwifuru has hit the ground running in proving all the doubting Thomases wrong about their negative impressions of him.
By so doing, His Excellency is already proving himself to be the most experienced, most godly and most competent of all those who aspired for the plum job in the 2023 Governorship election in the State after all.
By his choice of members of his Cabinet, Right Honourable Nwifuru has shown that he perfectly understands the spirit and letters of good governance; engaging professionals to do professional things, bureaucrats to do bureaucratic works and politicians to discharge political responsibilities.
According to his carriage in the superintendence of the affairs of the State, Right Honourable Nwifuru has demonstrated that his over sixteen years of apprenticeship in governance is a deservedly ideal benchmark for anyone aspiring to the plum job subsequently.
Through Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru's first action as Governor; approval for recruitment of over one hundred Medical personnel in the State, he has proven that he came to power prepared to profer soothinsolutionson to most of the teething challenges confronting the State.
His Excellency has variously maintained that he is dedicated to making the State a model for other States to emulate in Health and Education Sectors.
From the foregoing, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru has appropriately ticked all the boxes which have singled him out as a double-dome helmsman.
He has shown himself to be godly, hardworking, meticulous, kindhearted, experienced, effervescent and richly versed in the rudiments of good governance.
As His Excellency continues to lay the groundwork for the r coordinated transformation of the State, Ebonyians shouldest assured that they have at their disposal, an exceptional breed of Leader superintending over their affairs in Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru.
