Recognizing the astute political leadership of Senator Engr. David Nweze Umahi in Ebonyi State requires a thoughtful and rational assessment of his decisions, particularly amid power struggles.
Some states in Nigeria have experienced political turmoil during their elections, leading to inter-communal animosity, regional conflicts, clashes between political parties, and the emergence of sycophantic individuals due to the failure of their political forefathers to establish and uphold a strong tradition of power rotation within their regions.
In previous general elections, the people of Ebonyi made a commendable choice under the guidance of Senator Engr. David Umahi by electing His Excellency Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru as the Governor of the state.
Despite the efforts of self-serving individuals to employ communal propaganda, sectional politics, and unscrupulous political tactics to undermine the foundation of power rotation in our state, the wisdom and leadership of Senator Engr. David Umahi ensured its preservation during his tenure as the state's shepherd.
History will undoubtedly acknowledge His Excellency Senator David Umahi for his numerous efforts and sacrifices in making Ebonyians proud of their state in every aspect. It is now with great delight that we witness the "Spirit of Elijah being transferred to Elisha" based on the promising start of his successor, His Excellency Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, in his recent appointments. He has taken care to ensure that every community is represented in his government, irrespective of where he obtained the majority votes. This guarantees teamwork and progress for the prosperity of our beloved state.
However, I humbly implore the incumbent Executive Governor to address communal crises in the state by initiating programs primarily aimed at the youth, fostering unity and peaceful coexistence. AGILE WITHOUT BORDERS can be consulted for their expertise in resolving similar challenges in various parts of the world, including some states in Nigeria.
The youth of Ebonyi played a significant role in electing the current leaders of the state. No other state boasts as much youth representation in positions of leadership as ours, and we must cleverly utilize this advantage to eliminate all forms of disunity stemming from certain elders who fail to appreciate the state's remarkable attractions on a global scale and the aspirations of our leaders and elites in fortifying the foundations of opportunity for future generations.
I, therefore, call for unified cooperation among Ebonyians, both at home and abroad, to support His Excellency Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, in building the state of our dreams. Together, we can create a prosperous future.
