Ebonyi Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has constituted a seven (7) man committee to review his appointment so far since his assumption of office to ensure no part of the state was left out.
The Committee chaired by Hon Peter Ndubuisi Nworie was directed by the governor to liaise with the Ebonyi stakeholders in their different communities, wards and local government areas, to find out the level of appointments done in their respective places so far, and see how to balance it with others.
This was contained in an announcement made available to journalists, yesterday, by the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ebonyi, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha in Abakaliki, the state capital.
According to the Chairman, the
decision by Governor Nwifuru was in line with the charter of equity passion which has become notable in the governance of the state.
Chief Emegha said: "In the spirit of equity, justice and fairness, and in line with his decision to accommodate the interests of the Stakeholders in the ongoing appointments in this current administration, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has graciously approved the appointment of the following persons into the appointment review committee set up to ensure a balanced distribution of powers across the State"
Recall that Barrister I. I Ukeni was appointed as the Secretary of the committee, whereas Hon John Nwankata, Mrs Queendaline Nwigwe, Dickson Udu, Arc Okeye Odilichukwu and Sunday Onuzu N were members.
The APC State Boss said that the Committee would be, consequently, inaugurated on Monday, 3rd July 2023 at
APC Secretariat, International
Conference Centre (ICC), Abakaliki by 10 am prompt, saying that all the concerned should please take note.
NATIONAL PANEL learnt that the committee was inaugurated early hours of today Monday.
