The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife on South East Matters, Hon. Ani Uzoma, has hailed the Federal High Court Abuja for acquitting and discharging a senior police officer, Abba Khari, over alleged case of drug peddling.
A Federal High Court in Abuja had on the 5th of March discharged and acquitted Kyari and 9 others.
Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja had on his ruling averred that the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency was unable to prove their allegations of drug related crimes against Abba Kyari.
Reacting to the ruling, Hon. Ani described it as a welcome development.
In a statement he issued in Abuja, Ani congratulated Mr. Kyari on his freedom and urged him out the ugly experiences behind him and continue to work for the progress of the nation.
According to him "the recent court judgement discharging and acquitting Celebrity Police Chief Abba Kyari from all charges with NDLEA marks a significant milestone in his journey. This outcome is a testament to his strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
