Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved the appointment of Hon Patience Ogodo as the Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Board, UBEB.
He also appointed Dr Livinus Ezeuwa as the Secretary of the board.
Ogodo was an erstwhile member representing Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency while Ezeuwa served as a Senior Lecturer at Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo.
The governor's Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor made this known in a press release on Thursday.
According to the release, Barr Samuel Okonkwo and Mr Chijioke Nwuzor were appointed by the governor as the board member one and two respectively.
Hon Julius Nwokpo was appointed as the board member three.
Recall also that Okonkwo served as a Commissioner in different ministries under the immediate past state government led by Engr David Umahi, while Nwuzor was a Development Centre Coordinator and Nwokpor, a former member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
"Their names have been forwarded to the Ebonyi State House of Assembly for Screening and confirmation," the release added.
