When you say Government of Ebonyi State you mean that the regime or the system of governance belongs to the people of the State.
Likewise, when you mention the Government of Nigeria, it means that the nation's masses are involved. In all, it is no longer seen as the government of a group of individuals who are in the system working together.
A government is made up of individuals that work together as a team officially, but despite this fact, the masses are party to the government in a neutral system of public democracy.
A government is a collective business and a combination of three elements in the system, namely the regime, the officials either appointed or elected and the masses working together.
*Without the masses, there will be no government or regime, administration or governance in any place or society generally.*
*Oftentimes I have thought it right, to tell those in power and authority not to ascribe any government to themselves by saying my government, or my administration, but can claim to have a tenure working together with people as a team inside a regime.*
*No selfish assertion in government is good to be the first public impression of being in charge. It looks abnormal.*
*First impressions could thwart matters and people will always see it so. That's why people always think that government is everything and that whatsoever the case, all responsibilities belong to the government.*
*, where no diverse ways to engage in other Industries are present, the ultimate or the only alternative thing is to rely on playing politics, looking for positions of power to be part of the ruling class, to have a share or have a say in the government.*
*If it happens the government becomes only a few person's concern. The impression is that the masses are secondary and only a group owns the system.*
*And to be secure in the rulers club, the whole bulk of the authority centres on the Chief Executive who exercises total power over others, including the masses that have a share not known to them, but do not have a say in what belongs to them.*
*Therefore, the masses will believe they have nothing else to do, than expect the official Authorities to do everything for them.*
*And again, where contrary opinions are attempted, it will result in opposition against the handlers of government affairs, forcing the masses to depend on the classified authorities in the system to do everything.*
*That's why most of the time people believe that the government must do everything for the masses, not the masses doing anything for the government but it shouldn't have been so.*
*It is now affecting everything, everybody, and everywhere in the country including Ebonyi State, because of the politics behind the issue of who is in power, authority and control.*
*I am beginning to see that this time in Ebonyi State something is happening. There are certain changes, which the new tenure of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru seems to uphold about the all-inclusive system of regime.*
*I will be delighted to see the regime put to shame those who always think that equity, justice and fairness are properties of a singular group of actors alone and not of the masses also.*
*We must endeavour to assist the new Governor of Ebonyi State, the Right Hon Francis Nwifuru to achieve the all-inclusive goals collectively.*
*All-inclusive in the sense of engaging the productive ones to participate as industrious partners in progress, not only in political appointments but also in the creative fields of work.*
*It will be better if individuals should do something to assist any good government in power, where it is necessary to do so.*
*Rewards or no rewards should not be focused only on the political party of belonging, but be seen also from the angle of history as to whosoever must have contributed something good to the development of the Nation, State, the Localities and also in other areas of Welfare.*
*It is good to be known that there were certain good things we did for the government on our own, or for people sometimes before the government involved us and we became partners in the system of general public governance.*
*For instance, not quite long before Governor Umahi vacated office, he appointed me one of the new members of the Ebonyi State Elders Council.*
*It might be because of some fieldwork contributions I made in the past and have continued to make to assist the regime. But somehow some people sat on that appointment and I don't know their reasons.*
*It is now a reference point not because negative people sat on my appointment, but a pointer to what I am saying here about individual contributions to the government.*
*Sitting on people's rights and opportunities is inclusive of this topic, but it is going to be fully treated later.*
Meantime the topic is basically how individual contributions are important to any government in service for the masses.
We can contribute our quota of responsibilities to the government, through necessary advice and suggestions based on very relevant information.
Relevant information is not a rumour, not backbiting, not a poor opinion against other people to influence their failure and not instigating people to be in controversy or bear grudges.
Relevant information is to educate someone, or the public on important truths that can help people prosper. It is also a major thing in making good contributions.
In a democracy people should get up and stand their ground and contribute their quota first, to assist a government and not wait until someone is invited into governance.
To wait until the government engages your services means that you are part of those old brigades, who selfishly folded their hands being unpatriotic.
If you fold your hands waiting to be called, you have allowed those in government to think that everything is left for them and will begin to act likewise.
That's why we see pompous behaviours with some people in the ruling class, especially in a developing nation like Nigeria.
It can only happen where the issue of power is based on how to scare away some unwanted people, by using the method of repulsive protocols of pride and arrogance because of having a selfish immediate advantage.
If you envy them, fold your hands, brood over their pride and wait to be like them one day, not wanting to live outside the bad example, you cannot do anything good for the government not to talk about doing good to individuals who are in need.
If you fold your hands, close your eyes, keep mute, ignore everything and wait, you won't know how to alert the regime in power because of fear of the authorities. Fear is tormenting even behind politics.
Right from history in politics, it was written in the bible about the wrongs inside it, plus what should be the legitimate way of living and doing the right thing.
The biblical book of Saint Matthew chapter 20 verses 25, 26 & 27 said in verse 25; "You know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them."
Verse 26 said: "But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister.
Verse 27 said, "And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant."
It is the responsibility of those who are mature to minister to the needs of government, while those in government should be the lawful chief servants of the masses. Duties are shared.
It is the wrong impression left behind by the previous people in government, that overloaded the development responsibility vehicle of public governance.
If the people who previously occupied positions of power and authority had distributed responsibilities of government to the control of the masses, by now people will have known the real meaning of democracy.
The masses should be overall principal group partners in the business of governance so that the system won't face blames.
It is not just through political appointments but a collective joint business with the masses, through sharing responsibilities out to the public in certain grey areas like security information.
Information is the master key for everyone to make use of and open any door.
Information is the main key to unlocking everything and reaching everywhere in the world. It serves a very great purpose in openness to protect people's interests, lives and properties in any sane society.
Information is not to talk too much and think that government can do everything for you.
To think that Government is everything is like throwing the towel out in self-defeat to the rulers, which is not correct for the masses but yielded to the advantage of those in power and authority to be in control of everything and everybody.
It seems that at a time it became a doctrine of not having the masses be partners in the government of the day, but only those in government are partners and bound to be in control slantly, which shouldn't have been a lopsided affair.
Real democracy is a collective responsibility business of the masses, having representatives in leadership who should report back to the people if we have good democratic governance.
In a democracy, representatives are servants of the masses and agents in the strategic areas in the systems of governance, as good partners in progress with the existing government.
, if leaders are the servants of the masses and not masters in Nigeria, there is nothing to bother about issues regarding government and the masses. The two will tango.
And if not that we now have a generation of vipers, there will be no fear, no intimidation and no hiding from the shadows of anyone.
In short, if there's no societal danger no need to acquire the services of some forces or security agents to be on guard left, right, front, back, up and down and round about those in the positions of power and authority in the country.
I pray that at a time God will use the masses, to guard them jealously both in the private and public places of appearance
To God is the glory forever.
