The Hope High British International School has held its 15th Graduation Ceremony with Academic and Socio-Cultural activities.
The Chairman of the Graduation Ceremony, Architect Asaga Nwali disclosed this during the ceremony at the School Premises' Onwe Road, Abakaliki the State Capital.
Architect Asaga who is also Chief Executive Officer of C-Sagas Projects Nigeria Limited said "I am thanking all the Graduands today for being resilient throughout their academic years in the school. I wish you well in your future endeavours. Always remember that your parents are outside there working very hard to make sure that you are all great in future. This Gown you are wearing is a courtesy of both your efforts and the efforts of your parents. You must continue to be responsible so that you can make your parents and yourself proud".
The Chairman of the School Board of the International School, Professor Ike-Elechi Ogba, While giving the award to the Graduands Congratulated them for their good behaviour and Manner of Conduct.
Professor Ogba encouraged them to continue to maintain the pace in their future endeavours.
On her part, the Head of Schools, Mrs Anthony Chinonso, informed that the School has done a lot in bringing up the children from the School in high moral and academic standards.
"I am Mrs Anthony Chinonso, the Head of Schools, Hope High British International School Abakaliki. Hope High British International School is built to Excel is our motor. We have been winning awards, presently, during the children's day, we won the award in spelling B competition both in the Junior and Senior Secondary categories"
"We won the award in Mathematics, we also won in past and Present Olympic Competition. The school is doing well in the moral and academic upbringing of our Children because the moral standard of our Children is going down daily. So we are bringing the Children in the best way so that they can meet and compete with their counterparts in the world". Mrs Chinonso added.
She called on all the parents whose children and wards are in the school to continue encouraging their children as the school is ready to give them the best.
She also called on parents and Guardians whose children are not already in the school to do so as the school can make a child who has not been doing well academically start doing better.
Moreso, the State Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Valentine Okike said the school has been doing well in the moral and Educational Upbringing of the children in the State.
Okike said Ebonyi state Government is doing all it can to ensure that both the public and private schools in the State are of equal status in terms of teaching and learning
Consequently, during the ceremony, a graduation speech was presented by one of the Graduands who was also one of the Champions in the School, Miss Nichole Munachimso, where she thanked the teachers for patiently making them learn and also the parents for lovingly supporting them.
Miss Munachimso said Education is not only preparation for life but Education is life itself.
Some of the activities that took place during the Ceremony were; Conferment of Certificates, Academic Awards, Valedictory speech by Onuegbu Christabel, Chorography by the Nursery Section,
Empowerment for the next level, Hip-Up dance from the Primary section, Coronation, Cultural Dance and Cutting of Graduation Cake.
Others were; Drama from the Primary category, Home Economics Creativity by JETS Club, French Presentation from the primary category and debate from Secondary Category among others.
