The Governor of Ebonyi State, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru has approved the release of the sum of eleven million naira to one Collins Okechukwu Egbe from Ikwo Local Government Area of the State to pursue Postgraduate Studies in the United Kingdom.
Dr Boniface Nwankwo, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation made this known yesterday in a statement.
According to the statement, the Governor conveyed the approval to the beneficiary through the Commissioner for Education in charge of Tertiary Education, Professor Amari Omaka in Abakaliki on Thursday.
Governor Nwifuru said though he had carried out several such educational interventions to needy Ebonyians since coming on board as Governor, he would not relent until virtually all Ebonyians desirous of decent education can do so.
The Governor appealed to the beneficiary and other beneficiaries of Government benevolence to take their studies seriously and be good Ambassadors of the State wherever they find themselves.
The beneficiary, Collins Okechukwu Egbe will be doing a master's Degree in Biomedical Science at the University of East London, United Kingdom.
