The Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Documentation, Dr. Boniface Nwankwo has urged Ebonyians to join hands with the Governor to take the State to the global map of development.
He remarked when the management of I-Turning Point Newspaper paid him a courtesy visit in his office, old government house Abakaliki.
The Special Assistant who said that Governor Nwifuru has taken the right steps in the governance of the State, noted that he has done tremendously well.
He stated that no government has achieved what he was able to put in place within his one hundred days in office since the creation of Ebonyi State.
He further enjoined Ebonyians to be patient with the Governor as he has so many robust programmes in the pipeline which would continue to be unfolded from time to time while calling all and sundry to continue supporting the Governor as he has the interest of Ebonyi people at heart.
According to him, “Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru started on a brighter note, and like he once said, do not judge us at the beginning, judge us at the end.
” I am satisfied with the way the journey has taken off, the end will be more promising.
“I enjoined our brothers and sisters to join us in taking Ebonyi State to the global map of development,” he said
He commended the state Governor for appointing him into his cabinet, describing him as a special creature who’s committed to changing the narratives of Ebonyi State.
However, he applauded the management of I-Turning Point Newspaper(Izhi Tehu Foundation) for using the media outfit to support Gov. Nwifuru during the 2023 gubernatorial election and also presently publicizing his policies and programmes.
He also pledged his total support to the media outfit while urging the management to publish regularly and circulate it in the newspaper vendors to gain more readership and also thrive in the State.
Earlier in his speech, the Editor-in-chief of the newspaper, Comrade Andy Ndubisi Nwogha said the purpose of the visit was to congratulate Dr. Nwankwo on his well-deserved appointment as Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation.
He extolled Gov. Nwifuru for appointing Dr Boniface Nwanwko whom he said was a colleague in the journalism profession, describing the Special Assistant as a very industrious and dogged fellow and expressed optimism that he would deliver creditably well in his assigned responsibility towards achieving the charter of needs manifesto of the State Governor.
He further commended the State governor for his unprecedented achievements within a short period in office and assured that the media outfit would continue to be used in publicizing the activities of his Government.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Chapel officially announced Dr Nwankwo as their patron.
