Following the rising cases of security challenges at the border areas of Nigeria, the Ebonyi South Senatorial Aspirant, Comrade Marcelo Nwaji Anyigor has called for more proactive measures and investment by the Federal government and other relevant authorities to tackle the threat.
Anyigor, the South East Director of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF Project Beyond 2023, expressed conviction that improved national security would foster Nigeria's peace and economic development.
The Senatorial Aspirant in his remark while addressing his solidarity group known as Anyigor Sure-4-Senate 2023, identified the promotion of border peace as one of his major agenda to assist in improving national security in Nigeria.
According to him, investing in infrastructure and technology, increasing border security, and improving law enforcement will help bring stability to the nation's safety.
He said: "As a candidate for Senator representing Ebonyi South, I am committed to addressing the security challenges facing Nigeria. My plans include improving infrastructure, border security, and law enforcement.
"I believe that a secure nation is essential for economic development and the well-being of all citizens. I am confident that with the right measures, we can create a safer and more prosperous Nigeria for everyone."
