A few days before the Saturday bye-election, the Stakeholders and Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the Ivo local government area of Ebonyi State congratulated their Senatorial Candidate, Prof Anthony Okorie Ani on his advanced victory.
The stakeholders said Ani's victory in the February 3rd Senatorial bye-election is a deal done.
They made the declaration yesterday during the APC mega rally for the Ebonyi South Senatorial rerun election at Isiaka, Ivo local government area of the state.
According to the Commissioner for Water Resources in the state, Nka Chinedu Magnus, the Ivo people would give APC 99 per cent votes in the forthcoming senatorial bye-election.
"In the Ivo local government area, we have no challenge regards the Saturday Senatorial bye-election for Ebonyi South. APC will poll 99 per cent of votes in Ivo. We will give 99 per cent to APC because some voters may not be available to cast their votes on Saturday.
"You can easily see that all the critical stakeholders including the former Senate President to former House of Representatives to former local government chairmen, the former State House Assembly members to the former Commissioners to former Development Centre Coordinators and former ward councillors in Ivo council area are intact for the APC and its candidate, Prof Anthony Okorie Ani."
Also, the Special Assistant to the State governor on Internal Security in the Ivo local government area, Cletus Nga appreciated his principal, Chief Francis Nwifuru for being present during the rally in the area.
He said the presence of Governor Nwifuru during the rally has boosted the morale of the Ivo people, especially the voters and maintained that the Saturday bye-election is a deal done for the APC.
Nwifuru's security aide urged the electorate to come out massively to vote for the APC, noting that the present state government has been a great blessing to the citizens, citing the peaceful environment and developmental strides recorded in the area from 29th May 2023 till date as a commendable one.
