Federal government workers' salaries for January 2024 were reported to be delayed beyond normal.
The management of the National Mathematical Center, Abuja disclosed this in a memo signed by its acting Bursar, Pius Ukwah.
Ukwah attributed the delay to the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF).
According to the memo, the AGF office is still working on finalizing the 2024 Appropriation on the GIFMIS platform and as a result, the Personnel Warrant for January 2024 is yet to be released.
The memo further explained that the delay will cut across other MDAs and not just the Centre.
The memo urged their staff to exercise patience as “we await a positive resolution by the OAGF.”
