The Coordinator of Ngbo East Development Center in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Hon. Alike Isaac has sworn to give the entire Development Center a new look.
Alike also reiterated his commitment to ensure that throughout his tenure as a coordinator of the Development Center, everywhere is peaceful.
The Coordinator disclosed this while interacting with Journalists at the DC headquarters on his achievements so far since he resumed office as Coordinator.
"When I resumed office, there was no roof in this building that we are sitting in today, hoodlums bugled here and made away with the roofing sheets and other valuables, immediately, I had a meeting with my stakeholders, and they urged me to fix the building to a standard, as you can see by yourselves, I have fixed this particular block, you can see that the workers are very happy enjoying the office accommodations. Before now they used to work under unfavourable conditions and I was not happy with that "
"The main secretariat building is ongoing, you can see that I have swung into action and there is progress there. Very soon, it will be completed as well to give the place a facelift". Alike said.
SECURITY
The Coordinator assured that an adequate security outfit has been put in place to secure the DC headquarters and the entire Development Center.
"It may interest you to know that most of the things which have been causing insecurity in the DC have been settled ranging from land-related matters and other things ". He said.
"To bring government to the grassroots, I worship in three major Parishes in the DC every Sunday, I live in town but I do that so that my people can feel the presence of Government.
After Church service, some of them who have one problem or the other will be coming to me and I will settle it amicably, the ones above me, I will let the State Government Know"
"By worshipping with them in their villages, more souls are coming to God because most of their problems are handled after church service". Alike informed.
The Coordinator used the opportunity to call on all the people of the DC to give one hundred per cent support to the Government of Ebonyi State under the leadership of Governor Francis Nwifuru to get all the dividends that have been mapped out for the DC.
