Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki is said to have upgraded its service delivery mechanisms, following an ICT initiative powdered by KSMART SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL LTD.
This impact was made reference to by the Vice Chancellor, of the University, Prof Chigozie Ogbu during a media chat marking the Convocation ceremony of the institution, slated for Saturday, April 20th, 2024.
He said the University has upgraded to a cashless system, where payment goes through the portal and is controlled centrally.
According to him, the cashless system has reduced financial leakages in the institution and paved the way for an increase in the internally generated revenue of the University.
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, who was represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Omari Omaka, SAN, commissioned a worthwhile project - the digitization of all students and personnel records of the University.
The institution is on its way to virtually going paperless, following the massive project that is being undertaken by KSMART SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL LTD, a pioneer educational technology company headquartered in New York, USA with its Nigerian office in Enugu State of Nigeria.
KSMART SOLUTIONS, renowned for unleashing the power of technology in addressing chronic and intractable issues in educational institutions will ensure that the provision of transcripts will cease to be a nightmare in the institution.
KSMART SOLUTIONS will ensure that with virtually the click of a button, transcripts can be retrieved and sent to any institution of one's choice. Kudos to the Vice Chancellor and management of Ebonyi State University for embarking on such a noble venture.
Continuing, the Vice Chancellor said: "Introduction of one-point- registration enables us to ensure a stress-free online registration of courses, generation of matriculation number, and access to results."
Ogbu further noted that the digitalization of student's records was ongoing and would ensure smooth data processing including the issuance of transcripts.
