The Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Euphemia Nwali, has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for what she described as three years of impactful leadership marked by peace, infrastructure development, education advancement and human capital growth across the state.
Speaking while reflecting on the governor's third anniversary in office, Nwali said the administration had continued to deliver dividends of democracy through strategic investments in critical sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, education and youth empowerment.
According to her, the governor's development agenda has positively affected communities across Ebonyi State, particularly in Ezza South Local Government Area, where several projects have been executed to improve the living conditions of residents.
She noted that the construction of more than two kilometres of roads in various communities within the council area had enhanced accessibility, stimulated economic activities and strengthened grassroots development.
Nwali also praised the state government for constructing palaces for traditional rulers, describing the initiative as a significant step towards strengthening traditional institutions and preserving the cultural heritage of the people.
The council chairman further credited the governor's administration with sustaining peace and security across the state, saying the stable environment had encouraged development and investment.
“Governor Nwifuru's development agenda has touched every corner of Ebonyi State. His administration has demonstrated uncommon commitment to the welfare of the people through projects and programmes that are directly impacting lives and transforming communities,” she said.
Highlighting achievements in the education sector, Nwali described the state's scholarship programme as one of the administration's most remarkable accomplishments, noting that more than 1,000 Ebonyi indigenes had benefited from local and foreign scholarship opportunities.
She said a good number of beneficiaries from Ezza South were currently pursuing academic programmes in institutions within and outside Nigeria, thereby contributing to the state's human capital development agenda.
The chairman also lauded the successful construction and commissioning of the runway at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport during the administration's first year in office, describing it as a landmark project that had positioned the state for greater economic opportunities.
She further commended the establishment of University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering and ICT University Oferekpe, saying the institutions would drive technological innovation, research and economic growth in the state.
Nwali equally applauded the administration's efforts in healthcare delivery, agricultural development, potable water supply, job creation, youth and women empowerment, as well as workers' welfare.
According to her, government empowerment initiatives have created economic opportunities for thousands of residents, while agricultural interventions have boosted food production and improved livelihoods across communities.
She expressed appreciation for the siting of the University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering in Ezza South, describing it as a transformative project that would bring long-term socio-economic benefits to the area.
The chairman congratulated Governor Nwifuru on his third anniversary in office and expressed confidence that the administration would continue to deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
