"Comrade Sunday Agara until his death was a staff of the Ministry of Information and State Orientation, Ebonyi State, deployed to the State Ministry of Power and Energy as a Public Relations Officer.
"From our assessment, Comrade Sunday Agara was one of the best Public Relations Officers under the Ebonyi State government's employ. He demonstrated competence and dexterity in the discharge of his duties as a PRO.
'He was an easygoing person, calm, calculated and God-fearing.
"As a Unionist, he contributed immensely to the growth and stability of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Ebonyi State, through his active participation in the Union's activities and programmes.
"Comrade Sunday Agara's tragic death is indeed, a huge loss to his immediate family, the people of Igbegu Community in Izzi LGA, Ebonyi State Ministry of Information as well as NUJ family, especially as his passing came at a time his wealth of experience is highly needed.
"We pray for the eternal repose of his Soul and for God to grant his family and the rest of us the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss."
